I started 1400 Aircraft Models in 2018 initially as a project to bring together all kinds of collectors under a single banner to promote the hobby of collecting models. The Instagram account started off with pictures from different collectors and their models, promoting the depth and diversity of our hobby. I would eventually streamline the account and start photographing all models in a similar setting, and the account would be expanded by Raimond Schultz's amazing "As Real As It Gets" posts. In 2023 I was invited to become a co-organizer of the Amsterdam Aviation Collectors Fair and I have been happily co-organizing it since, and travelling to as many other fairs as I can get to!
