203's Collection

About the Collector

I began collecting in 2012 on a seriously limited budget, targeting a selection of 1:200 BAC One-Eleven examples of both civil and military background. Their beautiful quality of finish as a novice collector soon had me hooked - and 'spendthrift measures' elsewhere saw my limited 'Wishlist' rapidly grow to include T-Tailed Twin-, Tri- and Quad-jets of Eastern/Western European and American origin. However, space limits quickly became an issue. Military examples of all types were disposed of, and A320 family models replaced Russian/US examples as the focus turned to Western European products. Later rationalization saw examples of Pan-European Projects, including Airbus. ATR and Transall removed from the collection: in their place came indigenous older Western European Turboprop-powered aircraft such as the Fokker F27, HS748. and Vickers Viscount. The focus of the collection changed to remove duplicates and today, very much mirrors the criteria determined below.

About the Collection

This 1:200 Scale 'European' collection centres upon turbine-powered airframes (post-War to Present Day) built by Western European Manufacturers (as single entities - Country of Origin/European licence-built derivates) and delivered to Eastern/Western European operators. Excluded are Joint/Pan-European collaborative projects (e.g. Airbus/ATR/Transall). The collection is intended to be a '1:200 miniature museum' representative of each historic airframe; therefore, any duplicity of Construction/Line Number or Registration Mark is discounted: where this occurs, the definitive display example retained is determined by reproduction accuracy of the model, and the latest Registration Mark/Operator of any given airframe. As such, and in the interests of accuracy, certain airframe exhibits may be changed from time to time.
