Delete your MADB account

How to request account deletion

Account deletion is initiated by you while signed in. We do not accept deletion requests by email or through a separate form on this page.

1. Sign in to your MADB account on the website here (or open modelaircraftdatabase.com/login and sign in with the same username and password you use in the app).
2. Open the account deletion page at modelaircraftdatabase.com/account/delete.
3. Confirm with your password and choose a deletion option (see below).
4. Complete the on-screen confirmation to delete your account.

If you use the mobile app, you must use the website steps above with the same account credentials. After deletion, sign out of the app or uninstall it; your session will no longer be valid.

Deletion options

On the deletion page you may choose one of the following:

Retain data for a short period (default)

Your account is disabled immediately (you can no longer sign in). Your password and sign-in tokens are removed. Most account-related data is kept for up to 90 days so you may contact admin@modelaircraftdatabase.com or support to ask about reinstatement. We do not guarantee that all data will remain available for the full period. After that retention window, remaining account data is permanently removed during routine system cleanup.

Permanently delete all data immediately

You must type delete now to confirm. This permanently deletes your account and removes the following types of data associated with your username without the 90-day retention period:

• Account profile and sign-in credentials
• Collection entries, custom models, and lists
• Direct messages and friendships
• Member marketplace listings, alerts, and referral records tied to your account
• Saved preferences and notification settings stored for your account

Data that may be kept

Even after you delete your account, the following may be retained:

• Immediate deletion: Some server logs, security records, billing or subscription records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes, and content you submitted to shared areas of the database (for example, catalog corrections or photos attached to community records) may be retained in anonymized or disassociated form where needed to operate the service.
• Short retention option: Data listed in the previous section may be kept for up to 90 days before permanent removal, except where a longer period is required by law or for dispute resolution.
• Backups may retain copies for a limited time before they are overwritten during normal backup rotation.
